The LG G5 was launched at MWC 2016, Barcelona with innovative design and top-notch specifications. However, the hardware specs of the G5 may vary from region to region.
The LG G5 comes with a Snapdragon 820 SoC with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB RAM. Apparently, LG will opt for a lower end processor for Latin America. The LG G5 that will be released in Latin America will be powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB RAM. Other features such as the storage, camera and battery remain unchanged.
LG's decision to use Snapdragon 625 SoC, instead of the powerful Snapdragon 820 SoC was made after taking into consideration several factors including feedback from network operators and the currency appreciation in the region.
Unfortunately, the LG G5 Latin America model will not offer support for the LG 360 VR. This is due to lack of interest in the VR technology in the region, according to LG.
