Huawei P9 leaked live photos show dual rear camera setup and fingerprint scanner

Huawei's upcoming flagship, the P9, last month appeared in render images, and now we've gotten the first look of the P9 in live photos. 

The photos confirms that the P9 will have a dual-camera setup. The rear camera will be accompanied by LED flash and laser auto focus. There P9 will have a metal body and include a square-shaped fingerprint scanner at the back.

According to the leak, the Huawei P9 will sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display and powered by octa-core Kirin processor with 3GB RAM along with 32GB on-board storage (no details on expandable storage). The P9 will house USB-C connector at the bottom and will pack a large 3900mAh battery. The dual-camera on the rear are said to feature 12-megapixel sensor, that could be the first result of Huawei-Leica partnership.

As for the release date, the Huawei P9 is expected to be unveiled in Q2 2016.

Leica to reinvent smartphone photography with Huawei

Chinese telecom giant Huawei and legendary camera maker Leica (based in Germany) has announced a long-term strategic partnership with an aim to reinvent smartphone photography. 

Huawei Conumer BG, CEO Richard said that the comapny will collaborate with Leica to bring customers "the best elements of two expert brands in harmony" by "combining innovation and design, enhancing the user experience and continuing to inspire amazing advancement in human technology through exceptional premium imaging quality."

The partnership between Huawei and camera maker Leica will span research and development, design, co-engineering, user experience, marketing and retail distribution. Exact details are yet to be revealed.

Leica previously teamed up with Japanese electronics company Panasonic, for the Lumix DMC-CM1 smartphone. The phone was equipped with a 20-megapixel camera with an f/2.8 Leica DC Elmarit lens.

Huawei is already enjoying a successful run in the smartphone market, and with Leica's camera technology, the China based company will be looking forward to strengthen its future consumer offerings.

Here it is, Specification of Huawei Ascend with 3000mAh Battery

After release the Ascend P1 last year, seems bring a bad results for the company which is based in China. This year, Huawei is in the rumor it was working on a new smartphone as a successor of the Ascend P1 which is named Ascend P2.

Based on a leak that we quote via PhoneArena, the handset will come out with a processor K3V2 Hisilicon, the capacity is almost equal to the quad-core processor and is also equipped with HD panel on the 5 inches screen.

As for the other specs, Ascend P2 is also rumored to have been wrapped with 2 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal memory plus a microSD slot, and 13 MP rear camera. For convenience of use, Huawei has also refine a powerful 3000mAh battery to cover all uses of the features that have been brought.

For the price, many are predicting that the price Huawei has given for the handset around USD 279.99. FYI, this device is still unknown whether Huawei will sell globally or only locally in China.

Huawei Ascend Mate Almost Certainly Come to CES 2013 Event

As it is known that Huawei is preparing to introduce a phone-tablet (phablet) with a 6.1-inch diagonal screen, which will be labeled Huawei Ascend Mate officially to the public.


Even in one of the stores in Guangzhou Huawei, Huawei officials Richard Yu reportedly shows quad-core Android smartphone with the screen resolution of 1080p. This of course further strengthens truth previously revealed by the Senior Vice President of Huawei, Yu Chengdong.


From there it got the information that the Huawei Ascend Mate will be powered by quad-core chipset K3V3 with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz. This Phablet will be holding 4000 mAh battery, 9.9 mm frame and display with 361ppi density. According to Richard Yu, Huawei Ascend Mate will be pinned on low temperature polysilicon display, type LTPS.



Huawei Ascend Mate is almost certainly going to come on display at CES 2013, along with other recent Huawei Ascend D2. And, the price is probably around 480 USD. Unfortunately, the Android operating system is not yet known what will be paired with Ascend Mate, but it looks like Jelly Bean version.
