Earlier this week, the LG G5 was launched at MWC 2016, along with 'LG G5 and Friends' companion devices. Now LG India has announced that the G5 will launch in India in the next quarter, soon after the global launch in April.
Announcing the India launch of LG G5, Amit Gujral, Marketing Head, Mobiles, LG India said, "We are really happy to see all the positivity around the LG G5 ever since its global unveil at the MWC. In fact, in a survey conducted in Korea the LG G5 topped consumer preference leaving its closest competitors trailing far behind. We hope to make this available to users in India very soon and are optimistic that consumers will love its revolutionary design and features."
The LG G5 not only packs top-of-the-line hardware specifications, but also offers innovative features like the dual camera setup and modular design, wherein you can swap the chin of the body with the module LG provides called "CAM Plus" and "Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play". The G5 also features an "Always On Display", that lets you check the time, notifications and battery status, when the phone is asleep.
As for the hardware specs, the LG G5 has a 5.3-inch Quad HD display and is equipped with Snapdragon 820 SoC w/ Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt expandable storage, 16MP/8MP dual rear cameras & 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, NFC and USB Type-C. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is fueled by 2800mAh battery w/ Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
