Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone, an enhanced version of Galaxy A9, the Galaxy A9 Pro has surfaced on AnTuTu revealing the specs. The Galaxy A9 Pro, most recently was imported to India for R&D purposes and also popped up at GFXBench.
As per AnTuTu, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro carries the model number SM-A9100 and is equipped with Snapdragon 652 SoC w/ Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 16MP rear camera and 8MP front facing camera. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, making it the first Samsung non-flagship device to run the latest OS. The Other A series 2016 edition smartphones runs Android Lollipop.
The Galaxy A9 Pro will have a 1080p screen, but it not clear what the display size is. According to rumors the display size could be 6-inch just like the A9, or a smaller 5.5-inch (GFX Bench). However, the Galaxy A9 Pro unit that was imported to India has a 6-inch screen, so we can expect the size to be the same.
Other possible features include fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, NFC chip for Samsung Pay support and a 4300mAh battery. The Galaxy A9 Pro is said to come in White, Gold and Pink colors, similar to the Galaxy A9.
An official announcement can be expected in the coming weeks.
